When I say getting still, I'm not just talking about meditation. I do believe meditation is a wonderful practice that does need to be done daily.
Meditation doesn't have to be super-complicated. You don't need smartphone apps to do it; nor do you need spiritual woo-woo sounding music to do it either. It's really as simple as taking the time out of your day (deliberately, people - no multitasking here) to quiet your mind and focus on your breathing. Simple, right?
I can't tell you how getting still has helped me on my ongoing journey. Getting still, at least to me, means quieting your mind enough to listen to the wisdom from within.
Do you know how much wisdom you have inside yourself? It would blow your mind like being in a hurricane simulator if you experience it for yourself. Woman, you've got the strength of millions inside of you. Maybe your life hasn't gone down in such a way that you've needed to tap into it; trust me when I say, you can do more than you think.
We're all conditioned to look for the answers we seek outside ourselves. We're blessed to have so many teachers, healers, etc available to us whenever we need. (thank you Google - you're not just a doctor) Heck, you don't even have to listen to me! My mission is to help you tap into that timeless & ageless wisdom that you've been carrying around your whole life; to know who you are and what you can do.
So how do you get still? Follow these steps to get started:
